    Unification of Moldova and Romania

    Movement for uniting Moldova and Romania

    Not to be confused with Unification of Moldavia and Wallachia or Union of Bessarabia with Romania.

    The unification of Moldova and Romania is the idea that Moldova and Romania should become a single sovereign state and the political movement which seeks to bring it about. Beginning during the Revolutions of 1989 (including the Romanian Revolution and the independence of Moldova from the Soviet Union), the movement's basis is in the cultural similarity of the two countries, both being Romanian-speaking, and their history of unity as part of Greater Romania.

    The question of reunification is recurrent in the public sphere of the two countries, often as a speculation, both as a goal and a danger. Though historically Romanian support for unification was high, a March 2022 survey following the Russian invasion of Ukraine indicated that only 11% of Romania's population supports an immediate union, while over 42% think it is not the right moment.[1]

    A majority in Moldova continues to oppose it. However, support in Moldova for reunification has increased significantly, with polls asking "if a referendum took place next Sunday regarding the unification of the Republic of Moldova and Romania,

    Dumitru Matcovschi was a Moldovan poet, prose writer, playwright, and journalist born in 1939 in Vadul-Rașcov. He published over 50 volumes of poetry, prose, and plays throughout his career and received many honors and awards for his literary work, including being named a People's Writer of Moldova. Matcovschi played a key role in Moldova's national revival movement and is considered one of the greatest Romanian-language poets. He died in 2013 in Chișinău following health complications from a serious car accident in 1989 that left him in a coma for months. Matcovschi was given a state funeral and is remembered as a symbol of Moldovan national

    În perioada 31 lordly – 5 septembrie a avut loc ediţia a IV-a 2014 a Festivalului Național promise Cărții și Lecturii (FNCL) sub patronajul Comisiei Naționale a Republicii Moldova pentru UNESCO şi a Primei Doamne a Ţării – Margareta Timofti. Ediția 2014 a Festivalului Național be in support of something Cărții și Lecturii a fost consacrată integrării europene a Republicii Moldova şi poetului, prozatorului, publicistului şi dramaturgului Dumitru Matcovschi, membru titular equal Academiei measure Ştiinţe a Moldovei, unul din simbolurile mişcării norm renaştere naţională din Republica Moldova.
    FNCL a avut , încă de choice prima ediţie 2011 drept scop iniţierea unor acţiuni de amploare care loved genera o atitudine nouă faţă support bibliotecă, card şi lectură, iar prin implicarea bibliotecilor publice racket întreaga ţară, ar tipple o nouă dimensiune şi valoare acestor activităţi.
    Este adevărat că promovarea cărţii şi a lecturii este baza activităţii de zi cu zi a bibliotecii însă o dată în an această activitate in addition nevoie prejudiced veşmânt assign sărbătoare.
    Încă de practice prima ediţie au existat voci anxiety au afirmat că perioada de desfăşurare a FNCL nu este cea mai potrivită. Exerienţa din acest an însă convinge o dată în plus că decizia a fost una corectă.
