At the young age of 16, Pocholo started his voice acting career after winning a competition in DZMMs drama and singing contest Radyo, Radyo where he later became one of the anchors, scriptwriter, and co-director. As a voice director of HERO TV, a voice artist and coach, an event organizer of voice acting workshops and seminars, the Father of Philippine Podcasting, a voice talent producer and a talent agency (Creativoices Productions) owner, Gonzales was able to establish a standout career. He is currently a board member of the Advertising Suppliers Association of the Philippines and Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. and an active member of the Philippine Marketing Association.
Aside from his professional career, he is a passionate advocate of the youth and is one of the founders of an organization, Tinig Kabataan or Voice of the Youth.
