    New Mexico manager Ricardo "Tuca" Ferretti landed in Guadalajara to join Atlas as a player in 1977 and has never returned to live in his native Brazil.

    For regular followers of the Mexican game, he has become almost an institution, having managed for five clubs without any gaps in between in the country's top division since 1991. For those that don't watch much Liga MX, here is what you need to know about El Tri's new interim coach:

    1. Ferretti prefers a possession-based game

    Ferretti's Tigres side has had more possession of ball in the Liga MX this season than any other team. And that is in spite of the side playing the first two games of the Apertura with a "B" team. In a league in which possession is highly coveted and more direct, counter-attacking styles are rare, Tigres have dominated the charts over recent years under Ferretti.
