    Wellesley Tudor Pole was born to Thomas and Kate Pole on 23rd April in Weston-super-Mare.     Born in , he was educated at Blundell's School in Tiverton in Devon and at the age of 20 became managing director of the family firm involved in marketing grains and cereals[3] and also became involved in adventures to find the Holy Grail.[4] He pursued investigations in the Middle East.
